N Z. RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wanganui, This Day. After a spell of lovely weather, a change came on yesterday and light showers fell during the day, but at night it rained heavily. This morning it is blowing hard from the south with a treacherous sky. There being no communication by wire witli the range, the competitors went out as usual at 7 30, only to find that the conditions prevailing there were such that it was impossible to go on with the shooting for a time. The trench is inundated, and the force of the wind is too great to permit of the large targets being hung. Everything was put oil’ till noon, and it is just possible there will be no shooting to-day.
