Firs at Auckland. Auckland This Day The Drill shed was burned down at 5 a. in. this morning. Stowaways. Six stowaways from Sydney by the Ventura were not allowed to land, and had to be taken to Honolulu. Racing Buildings Burned. Waipawa, March 25. The grand stand, secretary’s olllcc, loose boxes and sheds of the Waipawa racing club were totally destroyed by lire early on Sunday morning. The origin is a mystery. They were insured for £OSO in the Alliance. Yacht Ashore. Dunedin, This Day. A private wire has reached here stating that the yacht Ariadne, travelling round the world, is ashore on the beach south of Waitaki River. All hands are well.
