GREY COUNTY COUNCIL.
The ordinary meeting of fcho County Council was held on Friday last. All members being present. The minutes of the previous mooting and outward correspondence was road and approved. The inward correspondence was deal with as follows:
From Mines Department in reply to application for £SO for Granville Koad, stating that Government will contribute one half. Received. Resolved that action be taken against the Bell Hill Coy to prevent them from using wheel traffic on Bell Hill track.
Resolved that the sum of £ls bo expended on Clarke’s River Road, provided the property holders contribute £6.
Resolved that in future residents of the different ridings be employed on any works to be done in any such riding (with the exception of contracts) provided that suitable men can bo obtained in the riding.
Resolved that S. Samuel’s account of £lC' 5/- for repairs to Ahaura cemetery be paid. Resolved that the engineer be instructed to have road approaches raised on Nelson Creeek road provided that Mr Ross cut an outlet drain. Resolved that a committee, consisting of the Chairman, Crs McCarthy and Ryall, interview the Harbor Board with the view of having quarry-spoil deposited along that portion of the Cobdon road which has been washed away. Resolved that the attention of the Government be called to the omission of certain mining reserves published in the Gazette of the 7ch instant.
Res bred that Government be requested to transfer the allocation of £l5O for track to River View to the construction of a track to Ahaura River, known as Nobles track.
Resolved that application be made to Government for £6OO out of vote for minor works on goldfields for the completion of ropd over Nine Mile Bluff. The next meeting was fixed for the first Tuesday in May. '
