SYDNEY REGATTA.

[by electric telegraph—copyright.]

[per press association.]

Sydney, March 18,

The Anniversary regatta postponed from January was brought off to-day. Pine weather prevailed. The yacht race for thirty tons rating class was won by Sunbeam, the Janett second, the Magic third.

With the exception of the Janet, the yachts got away quickly. The Sunbeam gradually crept up on the Fleetwing on the run to Manly, rounding the buoy in third place. Squaring for home the Sunbeam ran away. The others led to a finish. Comparing the times the Sunbeam won with a minute and fifty-seven seconds to spare from the Janet.
