GREY LIVE STOCK MARKET.
Messrs. Cl. W. Moss and Co. report yesterday’s sale at Preston yards as follows:
There was a short entry, 30 local cattle and 90 sheep were yarded. Still, it was quite sufficient for the demand, most of the butchers having supplies on hand. We placed the following stock :
Pat Cattle. —On account of Mr. Win. Craig. 3 handy-weight steers ,C(5 10s to ,(,'7 7s (id ; 2 heifers, £3 Ids to £3 12s 6d. On account of Mr.'Geo. Mason, 19 prime haudy-weight heifers from £5 to £C 10s, On account of clients, 3 heifers £1 12s 6d to £5.
Fat Sheep.—On account of Mr. T. W. Bruce, 00 prime wethers 17s Od. On account of Mr, N. Paulsen, 20 heavy ewes, 19s 3d. Eat Lambs. —On account of Mr. T. W. Bruce, oat 13s 9d. On account of Mr. N. Paulsen, 23 (privately) at 14s. Fat Pigs.—s porkers at 84s.
