An Anthem.
A sailor had long puzzled his brains as to what an anthem was, and at last put the question to a brother sailor. The answer was simple and characteristic, "If I say to you, 'Fetch me that bucket, Bill,' that's not an anthem. But if I say, ' Fetch me, fetch me, Fetch me, O Bill, fetch me that bucket, that bucket, 0 Bill, that's an anthem."
