Details of the wreck of the steamer Munchen show that she was going up a narrow passage at tho entrance of the Yap Harbour when she was struck by a sudden squall, and struck a coral patch and remained fast. Saveral big holes were knocked in her bottom. Tho boats were lowered and the passengers taken ashore first. The others were then saved at great peril, but good disciplino was maintained. The mails and somo of tho cargo- was saved. Tho passengers lo3t heavily.
