THE BUBONIC PLAGUE.

We do not know if there is any connection between the bubonic plague, the supposed infected rats and the mortality among cats, but there is ample evidence of the large number of cats that have died during the last few months at Greymouth from "unaccountable cause." A resident informs us that he saw his cat—evidently in the best of health—catch and kill a rat last week. The next day puss was found dead.
