MEDICAL CONFERENCE.

Wanganui, March 4,

The annual meeting of the New Zealand Branch of the British Medical Association was opened here this morning. Dr. Young, of Wellington, was appointed a delegate to represent New Zealand at the annual meeting of the English Association. Dr Colquhoun (Dunedin) was elected President of the nest Conference. Dr Collins was selected President of the Council and Campbell (Christchurch) Parliamentary Secretary. Dr Mason was re-elected editor cf the New Zealand Medic 1 Journal and its was decided to invi tecentres to appoint sub-editors at the evening session. Thomas, retiring President, was inducted President, elect Dr Saunders in the chair. Mr Saunders delivered a thoughtful and instructive address on some diseases incidental to school life, with methods of combatting them. On the motion of Dr. Mason a vote of thanks was accorded to Dr Saunders.
