THE CHRISTCHURCH HOSPITAL.

Christphchch, February 20,

At a special meeting of the Hospital Board to-day to consider the question of providing accomodation for inebriates and the admission of chronic cases the following motions were earned aftor a good deal of discussion ;

" That room or rooms should be provided in tho hospital for patients suffering from drink. " " That in tho opinion of this Board : (1) It is necessary to make provision for cases of chronic and incurable descase occurring in tho district. (2) Tho most suitable provision would be by tho erection of a special ward at this hospital; (3) and. a copy of this resolution should be forwarded to the Minister of Health, together with the information asked for by him. "
