Federal Erections. Sydney, Feb 18. The Federal Cabinot has fixed the elections for both the House and the Sanato for South Australia and Queensland for March SO&b, and the other States on tho 29th.

Sir Phillip Fysh has returned after two years term of Agent-General. He intends to stand for tho Federal Parliament, and will probably bo offered Lewis's place in tho Federal Ministry. The Nev/ Hebrides.
At a public meeting at which the Rev. M. Paton of the New Hebrides was a speaker, resolutions wore carried against further foreign aggression in tho Pacific, and in favor of Britain acquiring tho New Hebrides. The resolutions were forwarded to Barton.
Insanity, not Murder.
Melcoubke, Feb. 19,
Holland was found 'not guilty' of murdering the child Geaeh on tho ground of insanity, and is detained during the Governors pleasure. The Royal Yisit. -Tho Yorks' recrption committee pr:pose two processions on the day of arrival, and tho the day that Parliament is opened. The reception committee erects three arches at a cost of £IOOO each, and asks tho leading commercial bodies to erect others. There will bo an elaborate military display.
