Melbourne, Feb. 13.

Tho Government is supplying the immediate needs of tho sufferers by bush fires. The details aro slow coming to hand.

In the Hamilton district 6000 acres of bagged grain were burned. In the Yea district 200 square miles, and over 3000 sheep were burnt. At Boggy Creek settlement, 12 out 20 residences and the Post Office. State school and creamery wero demolished. In the Wangaratta district, where many settlors are homeless, much stock was lost. It is estimated that between 20,000 and 30,000 aro lost.
