Messrs G. W. Moss and Oo report yes' terday’s sale at Arahura yard’s as fol lows :
The entry consisted of 70 head of prime quality bullocks, all of which were placed at satisfactory prices to the vendors. We sold on account of Mr Robert Adamson, 13 prime quality bullocks from £7 10s to £9 12s 6d, averaging £8 14s : 2 prime heifers at £7 2s 6d.
Mark Sprot and Go report their sale at Arahura yesterday as; —Tho entry of fat stock consisted of 80 cattle, 200 sheep, and 100 lambs. Tho demand for beef and mutton was strong. A contingent of of buyers from the Grey district supplementing tho ordinary attendance made the sale lively throughout. Currant rates for mutton were well maintained, whilst beef showed a decided advance on late sale rates. The whole of tho entry was cleared at prices which must be highly satisfactory to.sellers. Wo sold— On account of Mr H. Diedrichs, 40 bullocks and heifers from £9 2s Gd and £7 10s respectively. On account of Mr T. Crough, heifers from £6 I6s.
On account of Mr J. Kennedy, 11 bullocks at an average of £7 ss; heifers £4 15s.
On account of Mr J. Ritchie, 9 bullocks, from £9 15s to £9 2s 6d ; 4 heifers at £6 17s 9d.
Store Cattle-The usual yarding of store and dairy stock was quitted at prices ranging up to £5 10s for first calf springers.
Sh ee p_On account of Mr MTntosh, 60 crossbred ewes and wethers at 15s 3d. On account of Mr Diedrichs, 100 do at 17s. On account of Mr Karnbach, 50 do at 15s 6d.
Lambs—On account of Mr Diedrichs, 40 from 11s to 12s. On account of Mr Intosh, 20 at 11s 3d,
Horses—For Mr Eitchic, 1 aged spring carter £lB, For Mr E. E. Jones, 14year filly £l6. For Mr E. Adamson, 1 aged light harness gelding at £8 10s, For Mr D, Spence, 1 do at £7.
