Federal Matters. Sydney, February 12.
At a luncheon Barton referring to the New Hebrides, said the chief of the disputes was the question of land ownership upon which the Anglo-French agreement
was silent. The Federal Ministry desired if it could be done without embarrassing tho Empire to create an international tribunal to remove sources of dispute. Turner referring to the Old Age Pensions said about fifteen thousand persons have to be provided for at a cost of £300,000 annually. The State was unable to spent the amount. Next session a bill would make pensions more limited and the administration stricter.
