London, This Day. Eleven fresh cases of plague have occurred at Capetown. Tho authorities are rapidly destroying tho rats.
The King and America. The King warmly thanked the President and members of the American Cabinet for attending the memorial service to the Queen at Washington. President M’Kinley replied that the tribute was general and heart-Jfr-lt. Sportsman states that the Duke of Devonshire leases the King’s racehorses for the season.
