London, February 8. The Marandas cargo of Victorian wheat was sold for 30/4£. At the wool sales Merinos were firm but scoured crossbreds were weak, and largely withdrawn, Quepah clip was sold for 7]d. Kauri sales are dull, 109:3 cases were offered and 900 sold. Prices Avcre unchanged.

The stock is 2026 eases. Received this day at 9 86 a.m. London, Feb. 10.

At the wool sales fine haired shafty scoured merinos closed 5 per cent. ; fine medium crossbreds 5 to 7] per cent above closing rates of November series. Paultics inferior grades about tho November level.

During the sales 95,000 bales were sold for the Continent, 145,000 for the Home market, 5,000 tor America and 9,500 held over.

Yesterday’s sales included Totara 6]d. Mutton—River Plate, heavy 4 l-16d, light 3?;d. New Zealand mutton, lamb and beef unenanged. Hides—Queensland ox s,]d to 51d ; cow 5d ; Wales to 4i|d ; cow 4 l-16d.

New Zealand basils is ; leather is unchanged. Silver 2s 4 3-16 d.

Linseed oil is 26. V

The imports to Britain for January increased by £1,431,000, and the exports increased £1,169,850 compared with January of last year.
