Golden Fleece for January—Battery, 761 ozs gold, 1236 tons cyanide, 125 ozs gold ; total value, £3221.

Wealth of Nations for January—Battery, 391 ozs gold, 6145 tons; cyanide, 63 ozs gold ; total value £1785. Progress mines for January—Battery, 1581 ozs gold, 4500 tons ; chlorinated, 31 ozs gold ; cyanide, 81 ozs gold; total value £6972.

Tho mine manager at Big River reports as follows: —Since last report we have finished timbering the drive over No. 2 level, and have now started rising on tho stone, which shows a little gold. It is, however, slightly broken, being mixed with bands of mullock.
