A meeting of Clergy was held at the Trinity Vicarage this morning when a form of service was drawn up to be used at Victoria Park to-morrow afternoon. An apology was received from the representative of the Roman Catholic Church as follows. To the Rev. Mr York, Dear Sir;—“ln reply to your memo of this morning, I find that it will be impossible for me to take part in the proposed united Memorial Service for our dear departed Queen. We are duo in Christchurch on February 4th for our annual retreat. My assistant has already gone and I propose to leave by boat or train to-morrow, Friday. A strange priest will take my place next Sunday arriving late on Saturday evening. Your movement has my sympathy and best good wishes. I remain, yours respectfully,—Rev. D, J. Maloxe.’’
