[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, This Day. The Department of Agriculture has received the following message from the Agent-General, dated London, 20th January:— “The average price of choicest butter is 110 s. New Zealand butter is giving satisfaction to buyers and there is good demand for butter. Cheese is 53s and the market is dullThere are a few complaints of ‘off flavour’ in the New Zealand cheese. The hemp market is very firm : good and fair, Wellington £'2l 10s; fair current Manila £27. There are signs of improvement in the hemp market.”
