Swearing in the King.

London, January 23,
The Prince of Wales, the Duke of York, Duke of Connaught and Prince Christian reached London at 1 o'clock.
The crowd quietly saluted the King. Gravely bowing, he drove to Marl borough House.
Later he met the Privy Council at St James's Palace.
The Lord Mayor and Aldermen in attendance.
The Duke of Devonshire communicated to the couucil the death of the Queen and the succession of her son.
Sydnby, January 24. The Admiral received a cable that the King was proclaimed to-day, All the flags were hoisted till sunset. The fleet and the Permanent Artillery fired Eoyal salutes.
The flags will be half-masted to-morrow and remain so till the evening of the interment.
The Commonwealth Gazette to-night announces that the King was proclaimed at St James's Palace as two o'clock to day.
