The death of the Queen, arrival of the returning troopers, and the weather has had an elVect on the attendance. The course is in good order. The results
January Handicap—Sirius 1, Puamabunga 2. Queen's Guard 3. Materoa was scratched. Perfection led for the greater portion of the journey, but at the turn Sirius crept through, and won rather easily by two lengths. Time 2 min. Div CI!) Is.'
Electric Handicap—Cora Linn 1, Full Cry 2, Spicier 3. Scratched —Blazer. Osliak and Paphos. Cora Linn and Chasseur led. to tho turn when Cora Linn drew out by a length, but was immediately challenged by Full Cry, and a good struggle for home resulted in a neck victory. Time, 1 3 4-5. Div, £4
