THE SIXTH CONTINGENT.

(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

Wellington, This Day. Lieutenant-Colonel Banks, who is to take command of the Sixth, arrived in camp this morning. Additional appointments are Lieutenant Markham, of the Federal Contingent, to be Captain of the Auckland Company; Captain E, C. Smith, of Eangiora; Lieut A. Eose, of Wellington; Lieut E. M. Wilkinson ; and Lieut M. Jones will hold commissions but companies have not yet been assigned them. It is understood that LieutenantColonel Watt, of Wanganui, is to receive the command of a company. A camp report is current that Captain Fulton, who is on sick leave and was appointed to a company, has been prohibited by his medical adviser from going to South Africa.
