The Government employees throughout New Zealand have raised a sum of money by shilling subscriptions for tho purpose of a presentation to Baden-Powell. It is being expended on a silver salver of design typical of the colony, and to cost £BOO. Arson. An Assyrian named Eemih Heirog, was charged at the Magistrates Court to-day for wilfully setting fire yesterday to premises of massed for a compatriot. Accused was remanded till next Monday.
