Cricket Match. Wellington, This Day. • At the time appointed for the resuming of the Wellington-Auckland cricket match rain set in, and the game is not likely to resume for some time, if at all. Fatal Accident. New Plymouth, This Day. A dairyman named Jas. Lobb, was killec] this morning while driving a dray. When the shaft brake the horse commenced to plunge, and Lobb, tho driver, was thrown from his seat and rccoived a kick on his head. Death was almost instantaneous. Escaped Lunatic. A lunatic named Harry Whiskey, while being escorted from Dannevirke to Napier, jumped through tho of the railway carriage, and apparently, without injury. He has not yet been re-captured.
