THE TASMANIAN TRAGEDY
[r,Y ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.] (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Hobart, January 8. In regard to tho Kettering tragedy, evidence at tho inquest showed that Whyte, who was a married man with a family, was enamoured of Ehoda Jackson, who was engaged to a young man named Potlcr. It is believed that jealously, added to a derangement of the mind, induced him to commit the deed. He asked Miss Jackson to break tho match off, and on her refusing he shot her dead.
