A KUMARA WEDDING.

A quiet but very interesting event was celebrated last week (says the Kumara Times) at the house of Mr and Mrs Martyn, of Blue Spur, the occasion being the marriage of Miss Jane J. Martyn, fourth daughter of Mr Martyn, to Stephen Meildejohn Benyon, second son of James S. Benyon, of the Kumara Times. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. T. R. Richards. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in cream serge, trimmed with silk to match. She also wore a graceful veil and a wreath of orange, and was attended by Miss Laura and Miss Louisa Martyn, sisters of the bride, dressed in white peaque. Mr Tewkesbury Benyon acted in the capacity of best man.
