A narrow escape horn a terrible disaster occurred at Circular quay to one of the crowded excursion l>o;its, the Princess, with 3C O passengers on board. As she was leaving she was cut down by a North Shore ferry steamer. Fortunately the Princess was only a short distance from the wharf. The ferrj steamer also got alongside her The passengers scampered over the ferry boat and reached the wharf. The Princess sank within ten minutes.
