Rongotea Notes.
A very pretty wedding <*as solemnised on Wednesday afternoon in the Wesieyan Church, tbe contracting parties being Mr William Lewis Bishop, eldest son of Mr R. W. Bishop, and Amy, second daughter of Mr B. Eglington, both families being very old residents of tbe district. Tbe bride, who was given away by ber father, was charmingly dressed in a pale green lustre and was attended r y her three sisters ; they wearing dressies made of a peacock blue stuff. Tbe bridegroom was attended by Messrs O . J. Bishsp, W. Grace and A. Eglington. The Church was very nicely decorated for the occasion by several members of tbe cboir and Sunday School. After the ceremony the bridal party left midst showers of rice and rose leaves for the residence of Mr Eglingtoa, when the breakfast was partakes of by about, eighty guests- Several speeches were made all testifying to tie universal good feeling between tbe bride and bridegroom and their a any friends. The presents were very numerous and handsome. The happy cot pie left early in the evening for Nelson where the honeymoon is to be speqt.
