The Goldmining Industry.

Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright Auckland, December 2. The following telegram was sent to tbe Premiar to day by tbe Auckland Stock Exchange :— " At a meeting of tbe Anckland Stock Exchange the following resolution was unanimously agreed to— That the Exchange views with serious apprehension tbe proposal to add to the already heavily taxed gold mining industry, and trusts tbe Government will see fit to diminish rather than increase tbe burdens npon this important colonial industry." A number of representatives of English companies express indignation and regret at the action of the Government and are forwarding a strong protest to the Government.
