TO THE EDITOR. Sir— The explanation by Mr Watts of the best of the dairy cows at the late Manawatu A. and P. Stow enables me to understand tbe figares stated, which I, nor several dairy men I spoke to, did before. (Did thj judge of the class I wonder '?; I wouM like to point oat that as the quantity of milk giren by tbe cows in this class was not mentioned, no estimate whatever of tbe quality of the milk conld ha/c been arrived at, and we are now no wiser in tbis respect than before I wo aid suggest th&t in fat are the system in general use be adhered to:— i.e. Stating tbe quantity of milk given and the test of tbe sample as shown by the Babcock tester. I am, etc., Jersey 8011.
