Rio de Janikro, November 6.
A soldier made a determined effort to shoot Doctor Prudent* Jose Demoraes, President of the Brazilian Republic, at Bio, bnt was frustrated by bystanders. Colonel Mora«a was slightly wounded in disarming the would-be assassin. Latbk.
While disarming the assailaut of President Demoraes, General Bernard Vitqaed, Minister for War, was stabbed to death.
