(Per Press Association.) Chbistchurch, October 27. At liiccarton this morning St. Paul put in medium pace work. Culrerin led Goldleaf six furlongs in lniin 20sec, and Weary and Oina ran a mile in lmin 51 sec on the plough. Alcestia finished in front of Bracelet at the end of six furlongs on the grass in lmin 19sec. Leda, with a light weight on the plough, ran a mile and a quarter pleasingly in 2min 18sec. Strath braan came home fast during the last part of two rounds. Daystar with a light weight, and Haria witli Gallagher up, sprinted half a mile, Day s tar leading. "Waiuku with a fair weight up galloped a mile in lmin 50sec on the plough, the last six furlongs accompanied by Umslopogaas. Vulcan and Lady George finished together at the end of half a mile. Britomarte after cantering a mile sprinted for four furlongs in 54sec on the plough. Lord Boslyn looking well did half pace work. More or less useful work was given to Skirmisher, Blazer, Black and Red, Acone, Marino, and about thirty others.
