(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, October 25. At Hiccarton this morning, St. Paul galloped two miles on the grass, long I before the other trainers worked their charges. Culverin was too good for Orna in a spin on the plough. l>avstar, with Gallagher up, and Haria with a less weight, covered nearly a mile and three-quarters. Haria, on the outsiiK', loading his companion from end to end. appearing freely, the mile and a half taking '2min -Wscc, the last four furlongs was travelled in .>4isec. Maria going well within himself, and Daystar lazily. Xtro-thbrnan trotted three miles. Waiuku cantered round and then gallopod six furlong-; in lmin 25Jsec, the last half-mile in ;V2^ssc, ridden out. Skirmisher did long steady work as also did Britomarte. Leda was not out during the morning. Acone, Starshot, Belle Clair, Crescent and Manawanui were the others that did the most useful -work. This Day. Blarney has been scratched for all engagements at she C.J.C. Meeting at 10 a.m. to-day.
