We quote : Prime ox, to 4»jd ; medium, 4d ; good cow hides, I 3jd; medium, 2£d to Sjd per lb. , Oats — Southern markets continue I fairly strong, and, although no advance in values cat be recorded, holders are , very firm in thwr demand for late rates. , Local stocks are not large, and prices are well maintained. We quote prime ' heavy feed 2s 6d to 2s 7d, sacks in, ex store. , Fowl wheat — The foreign markets s for milling are reported to be a bit , weaker, but the local demand for fowl ; wheat remains steady. We quote 3s \ lid to 4s, sacks extra, ex store, for good , quality. Chaff— The approach of spring has caused a considerable quantity to be placed on the market, but no change in , value is to bo recorded. We do not , think the visible supply excessive and . think late rates will be well maintained | until the new crop is placed on the market. We quote bright heavy 77s 6d I to B'2» 6d, sacks extra, ex store. Maize — Has slackened off very con- ; siderably, and last week's quotations are difficult to obtain. Holders in the , North are exporting to Australia, and | until the requirements of the Continent , are satisfied we do not look for any material drop in values. We do not think orders could be filled in the meanI time under last week's quotations. Potatoes — Market glutted. In view of the early advent of the new crop holders are most anxious to quit, and , sales are difficult to effect at 55s to 60s, sacks in, ex store. 1 Fungus — Market strong, and well dried parcels are readily saleable at up to 3 id per lb.
