Egyptian Affairs.
(Per Press Association.) Kome, September 29. After the reverses in the Abyssinian campaign the Italian Government have intimated their intention of ceding Kassala, an important fortified town in Abyssinia, to Egypt, but subsequently agreed to retard the cession in order to permit of the commencement of British military operations into the Soudan in the autumn. The Italian Government has now notified the Egyptian authorities of its reluctance to hold the town beyond December, and the Governor of Suakim has been despatched to Kasnala to make arrangement for the cession.
