RONGOTEA CRICKET CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Rongotea Cricket Clnb was held in the Bongotea Hall on Wednesday evening. Mr Easter was voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £1 14s 6d. The following officers were elected : — President, F. Q. Couper, Esq. ; vicepresidents, J. Costall, Esq., W. Davis, Esq., T. Clark Esq., J. Penney Esq., J. Campion Esq. ; captain, Mr J. A'Court ; vice captain, Mr W. Brougbtau ; hou. sec. and treasurer, Mr C H Bowater ; general committee : Messrs Brongbton, Penney, A'Conrt, Opie, Harper, Bishop, Purnell, Stansill and secretary ; match committee : Mesrrs Broughton, Bowater, Bishop, Harper, Penney ; delegates to Union, Messrs Bowater and Broughton. I The subscription for season was fixed at ss. Colours of dab to be light and dark blue. Bats presented by L. G. Copper and W. McKeneie, Esqrs., for batting averages, and highest individual score were won by C. H. Bowater with an average of 19*75 runs per innings and the highest score of 50 runs. The bowling trophy was held overIt was resolved to open the season on the second Saturday in October with a match Married v. Single. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr and Mrs A'Court for the great interest shown by them in the clnb and for entertaining visiting teams to dinner and tea. Votes of thanks were also passed to Mesdames Anderson, Davis, Bowater and the Misses Costall and Hammond for providing afternoon tea for the various matches. The meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the chair.
