There is to be a meeting of tbe shareholders of tbe factory on Wednesday eveniup for the purpose of rescinding a motion or otherwise to build a creamery at Mr Glover's. If the motion be rescinded a new site is to be chosen. Many of the share holder* are of opinion that the present factory should be enlarged instead of going to tbe great expense of building a new creamery. Tho ladies of the Wesleyan Church are going to give another of tbe enjoy* able socials on Tbarsday evening. These entertainments are becoming quite popular. Our footballers journeyed to Awahuri last Saturday to play them a friendly game, but owing to the Awahuri secretary net informing tbe other members of bis team only three players turned up and Rongotea team had to return disappointed. The Ron go tea and Unionists meet on Saturday at Feildiug to try conclusions for the championship. We intend holding oar annual cricket meeting next week when the trophies will le presented to tbe winners of name. Batfi are to be presented by Messrs Me Kenzie and Couper and a ball by Mr J. Tompkins. Tho following items will show tho great fertility of the Rongotea soil and the amount that can be taken off iv small section. Tlie results have been verified by myself by receipts shown to mo. Mr W. Richmond has a section of fifty acres.
