Messrs Abraham and Williams report as follows : — Small entries came forward to our sale at Pahiatua on Tuesday last, and Palmerston on Thursday, sheep being considerably Bhort of advertised numbers at the latter sale. A slightly improved tone was visible at both places, and tbe bulk of tbe stock offered changed bands. Baef sold freely at quotations, and the demand for dairy stock improved, and no doubt will continue to do so as feed improves. We quote : •- At Pahiatna. — Sheep- Fat Jtnd forward wethers, 10s 4d ; fat ewes, 8s to 8s 6d ; ewes in lamb, 7s ; empty ewes, 6s 9d ; small hoggets, 4s lid. Cattle- Spring ing heifers £3 Ids to £4, fat bullocks £5 12s 6d to £5 15s, heifers and calves 37s 6d. At Palmerston — Forward wethers 10s lid, store do 9s Bd, boggets 7s 4d to 7s Bd, ewes in lamb 7a 9d. Fat bullocks (small) £4 9s 6d to £4 lis, mixed yearlings 28s, weanere 18s, dairy cows, £4 5s to £5, shorthorn bull £4, empty cows 30s to to 255.
