Death of L L. Harris.

(Per Press Association) Wellington, This Day. Mr Lionel L. Harris, a well-known and highly-respected citizen, died early tbis morning from affection of the heart, aged 51. Deceased for years was a City Councillor, and held the position of Chairman of the Hospital Trustees and N.Z. Times Company, besides being connected with several other local bodieß.

Trade at the Bon Marche has been very brisk during tbe laßt two weeks. The wonderful bargains offered and tbe tempting reductions made by Messrs Spence and Spence bave been the means of inducing hundreds to buy very large parcels. We would call attention to a replace advertisement on our third page from Mr E. J. Chappell, in which he announces that he will make still further re ductions during the next fourteen days. As tbe goods arc all tbis season's importation, and the reductions made are in every case genuine, those ia search of high class drapery aud clothing at phenomenally low prices should visit' the Family Drapery Warehouse before the 6alc closes.
