Lamhing Season.
(Per Press Association.) Chbstchorch, August 5. At a meeting of tbe A. and P. Committee to-day Mr Gould gave notice to move at the next meeting for a close season for freezing lambß from May to October, averring tbat carrying the season np to July, as at present, was too late and caused numbers to be sent as lambs which should be branded as tegs, thereby giving prime Canterbury a bad name and tending to dep'ete tbe flocks by sending ail tbe best young sheep away.
