THE STOCK MAEKET. Messrs A. 6. Tame and Co. report as follows on their horse sale held on Saturday :— The entry was a very small one and of n poor class with very few except tions. We told a number of the lower classed horses very well considering theit condition. We sold the entire Beitch Slavin for £10 ; harness horses, all ages, from ±'6 to £8; crocks, about as usual. Buyers were present for good harness horses wi'h weight in them, and any of that class coming forward ready for work would soil wsll. Good horses are getting scarce, and draughts aro almost unobtainable. Auckland, Jane 11. Messrs A. Buckland and Sons report that at Romuera on Thursday dairy cows at profit were from £3 5a to £5 15s e«cb. Good quality steers were at 17 • the 1001 b, cows, lla to 14s ; steers ranged from £1 28 6d to £8 12s 6d ; cows, £2 10 to £4 15s each. Sheep of prime quality sold irregularly. Wethers, from 8s 9d to 14a 6d ; fat ewe*, 6s 6d to 11 ; young ewes in lamb, 9s ; hoggets, 7s 9d to 8s 9d each. Bacon pigs, £1 12s to £2 8d ; porkers, Ids to £1 38 ; stores, 6s 6<J to 10s each.
