A Berlin Scandal.
(Per Press Association.) Berlin, May 25. The trial has commenced of Herr Tausch, lato Commissioner of Police. He is charged with perjury and forgery, and Herr Lutzow, a Berlin journalist, is charged with iorgery. The case arose out of a political libel action heard in December last when Lntzmv was sentenced to eighteen naontLs and Tauscli was suspended from duty and arrested on a charge of wilful perjury. Tho libel consisted of the publication of a ut,atcmcut that an incorrect version of tlio Cziir's speech at Hre.il.iu was the outcome of intrigue iv high quarters. In the course of yesterday's hearing Lntnow declared that Tausch directed him to publish a statement tliat the affection in the car from which the Jijtnpcror William is suffering, was of a cancerous character, and inherited from his lather.
