Wanganui Education Board,
The regular meeting of the above was held last evening. Present— Messrs J. W. Baker (chairman), Bridge, Robbins, Ross, Spurdle, Lethbridge, Hurley, Fry and Pirani. APPOINTMENTS. The following teachers' appointments were dealt with : — Terrace End.— A protest was read from Mr Fairbrother against the transfer of Miss Scott, and suggesting the transfer of an assistant instead. — It was pointed ont that the Board had no power to transfer an assistant without the consent of both Committees. Apiti— Mr E. L. Ironmonger appointed headmaster, Stoney Creek— leathers' oamei to be sent. Transfer -John O'Reilly to be transfered to Aramoho as junior assistant and Miss McOaul to go to Longburn. Ashurst — Miss Reed granted two months'. extra leave en fall pay. Messrs Pirani, Hurley and Lethbridge were appointed a committee to consider the appointment of Truant Inspectors and report to the next meeting of the Board, Miss Mossmaa is to go to Ashurst during Miss Seed's illness.
