A Tribute to Sir George Grey

(Per Press Association.) Sydney, May 1. The Sydney Daily Telegraph, in au article this morning headed " A Mid Century Governor," says that, ou the eve of the celebration of the most illustrious and profitable rei«n in British history, it is well to remember one who contributed so much to tlio lustre of that reign. If Sir George Grey's advice had been followed, every inch of the islands of the Pacific would have been British territory, and we would have been federated in South Africa from Capetown away up to, if not above the Zambesi. The Empire has benefited vastly by the patriotism aud energy of men like Sir George Grey, who were Imperial Englishmen of a day when Little Britain was disposed to be callous regarding Greater Britain.
