FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
(Per Press Association.) Melbourne, April 15. I "With reference to the attack on the Australian frozen meat made in the House of Commons, the Minister of Agriculture has wired to the New South Wales Minister, asking him to convene a Conference of Australian Mioisters of Agriculture to take the matter into consideration and prepare evidence for submission to a select committee of the House of Commons. A reply has been received that arrangements will be made to hold a Conference at Sydney at the earliest available opportunity. The Minister of Agriculture has cabled to the Agent-General to give an absolute contradiction to the statements that the Australian frozen meat is of inferior quality and of small value as food. London, April 14. The Agents-General of the various colonies will submit evidence to the se lect committee appointed in connection with the Imported Agricultural Products Marks Bill, with a view to refuting Mr "WiDgfield Digby's assertions regarding Australian meat. Sir Andrew Clarke has discovered that Mr Wingfield Digby's statement has un.njnred the Australian meat trade.
