In consequence of a discovery of rich alluvial gold and a reef in the vicinity, the management of the Block 45 mine, Hampton Plains near Kalgoorlie, is offering a reward of i.10,000 and a half interest to the finder of a payable reef on their property. It is stated thafc the Government will next session introduce a Tariff Amending Bill giving a free breakfast table, in eluding in the free list bacon, butter, cheese, bams, preserved meats aud eggs. The matter has been referred to the Crown law officers.
