Wellington Suburbs Seat.

(Per Press Association, i Wellington, April 3. A. R. Atkinson, solicitor, who contested the City election and finished fourth, is announced as an Opposition candidate for the Suburbs. Mr Hislop announces " When the proceedings were first taken against Mr Wilford, I signified that it would be better if they were successful that I should not be looked upon as a possible candidate. For a lime it seemed impossible to obtain another candidate and I then wavered in my resolve wheu, however, a few days since I was informed that upon full con sideration Mr Atkinson was again ready for a contest I saw him and was pleased to find that this was so. This obviated in my iniud any obligation which had arisen on my part to vary my original resolve."
