AUCKLAND STOCK MARKET. (Per Press Association) j Auckland, March 5. Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report that at Re inner a on Thursday dairy ! cattle yarded numerously, but all of medium quality, were in fair request ; those from one to three month* from calving were equal in price to those at profit ; prices ranged from £3 te £5 each. Store cattle in average supply, were in demand, and sold satisfactorily. Calves were in full number ; young calves were better worth and fattened calves at late values; young calves brought from 4s to 7s Cattl* in full supply (239) sold well at equal values throughout ; fair to good quality steers and young barren cows 18b to 19s the 1001 b, medium weights being at the higher values ; steers brought from L 5 10s to L 8 12s 6d, cows L4 5s to L 0 10s each. Sheep were yarded in full number (1800 sold), mostly large-framed wethers, fairly fatted ; last week's values were sustained throughout, the unusual growth of grass occasioning graziers to bid freely ; wethers ranged from 7s to 11s, ewes, 5s 9d to 9a 6d each. Lambs in average number (370 sold) were at last week's values ; fat lambs wer« from 5s 9d to 10s each, store lambs 4s 6d each. Pigs, more numerous than for several weeks, were in demand, and the prices obtained pleased sellers.
