(Per Press Association). Stdnet, This Day. At the Federal elections 148,000 votes were east out of 264,000 on the roll. Barton headed the poll with 104,468, the Premier next with 89,861, while Wise the 10th man, soared 66,761. At the end of last year the population of the seven colonies of Australasia was 8,600,985. Melbourne, This Day. Turner headed the Federal poll with 98,690 rotes. The 10th men polled 44|8W# _—
