A Large Claim.
(Per Press Association.) London, Jan. 19. The owners of the Rhip Siren, which was sunk by the collision with the warship Landrail, have preferred a claim against the Admiralty for £86,529 as compensation. The Admiralty has offered to pay £4843, buti the offer has been refused. The Greenock Chamber of Commerce has decided to petition the House of Commons in favour of the owner of the vessel.
